Jewelry Organizer Is A Lifesaver

I just utilized my jewelry organizer available as a hostess gift this quarter. It’s quite impressive! It holds a lot and I can see what I’ve got! All too often I am digging in my jewelry box searching for the other earring or that pin or a bracelet. This thing makes it easy plus it fits in the closet! How perfect! (more…)

Lots of Section 2

Today I have the house to myself. I decided to reorganize my MK closet. My MK closet is a complete mess. I need shelves … bad! Right now, I have the wheeled carrier, one Rubber Maid ™ tote, and several totes (as in bags) holding my inventory and supplies. I can’t stand the disorganization! Even though everything is put back away and I was able to throw some things out and lighten the load, it’s still a mess. At least now I know what I have and where it is. I have a LOT of Beauty Books! Recently, a friend of mine sold her product back so she gave me a lot of her left over Section 2. I’m very grateful. I have profile cards, sales slips, hostess brochures, recruiting CD’s and brochures, invitations, thank you cards, and GWP items to last me. She even gave me 2 On-the-Go Totes. I could probably do 100 faces with the stuff she has given me! (more…)

Plans for This Week

I’m making a To Do List for this week. So far I have:

Monday
Deliver products. Invite guests to Tuesday’s meeting.
Tuesday
Invite guests to meeting. Book appointments for November. Attend meeting.
Wednesday
See if fish bowl locations are open. If so, inquire about placing fishbowls.
Thursday
Work late at J-O-B.
Friday
Non-business day.
Saturday
Mail invitations for November 24, class.

That’s all I’ve got so far. I’m working on accountability here. I don’t have much to work with at the moment. I need to find new leads. I am going to attempt 5 new contacts each day as well. :)

To Do’s

Today just hasn’t gone as planned. I hate to admit it, but I’ve accomplished absolutely nothing business related today. It’s all good, though. I have some customers to get in touch with at work on Monday. Time to make that 6 Most Important Things List and hop to it!

To be continued… :)

Simple Organization

I’ll be the first to admit that I am not an organized individual by any stretch. For some reason, however, my director and her director perceive me as an organized person. To what do I owe this status? I think it comes solely from time management training I’ve had from them and from owning my Mary Kay datebook. Since joining Mary Kay Cosmetics, I have become far more skilled at time management. I do think part of it stems from my busy childhood. I always had lessons of some sort–piano lessons, ballet, gymnastics, and horseback riding, to name a few. This caused my thinking to shift to things I have to do each day and how to fit everything else into place. (more…)

Simplifying Time Management and Organization

j0400129.jpg

Last week at my success meeting, we heard about a retreat that was held at Elite Executive Senior Sales Director, Linda Bradley’s home. Apparently, she shared some time management tips. We heard the ideas from a consultant (and friend of mine) who was in attendance. I was intrigued by what she shared. (more…)

Hitting That To-Do List

I don’t know about anyone else, but I sure have trouble actually DOING my 6 Most Important Things List. Sure, I can right my things down, but to actually do them; well, that’s a different story. This is a awesome article I found on Zen Habits. It makes some excellent points!

How to Actually Execute Your To-Do List: or, Why Writing It Down Doesn’t Actually Get It Done

Have you gotten good at organizing your tasks in a to-do list, but have trouble actually executing them? You’re not alone. (more…)

Investing for the Future

This came in my email from Unit Coach. If you like their stuff, you can visit their website and sign up for the newsletter.

“Building Passive Income”

What tasks are you doing right now in your business that will bring you an income for the rest of your life? That’s a heady thought. As you go about your day selling and recruiting, you are probably focused on the immediate benefit of finding the perfect customer or consultant.

But the payoff is much bigger than you can imagine.

Most people spend their days trading time for money. They work 8 hours and their employer pays them an hourly wage or a salary to compensate them for their time. End of story. There is no long term benefit, at least not one that will continue to pay them over and over again for each hour of work that they invested.

Your business is not a 9 - 5 job. You don’t work three hours and get compensated for three hours. Sometimes you work fifty hours without getting paid at all. And shortly after that, you may work just one hour and get paid for a hundred. If you are used to an “employee” mindset, this business of being paid for your “investment of time” instead of just for the actual time itself takes a little getting used to. (more…)
