Have a daily win. These are words I’ve heard from NSD Kathy Helou time and time again. What does that mean? What is a daily win? It’s essential to keep going in this business. If we don’t find a positive aspect in our businesses each day, we will lose the drive to keep going. Having a daily win is essential to staying focused and determined.
So, this is what I’m talking about: my current goal for November is 30 faces. I believe this will keep me on track for 3+3+3 program. The monthly goal needs to be broken down. So, I need to schedule to see 7-9 faces each week. Let’s say in week 1 I hold 3 classes and see 10 faces. In week 2 I have a class postpone and another cancel and I hold a facial. I have to hold onto that facial as a positive. If my daily goal is $100 in retail sales and I miss it one day and sell $40; rather than despair that I have “only sold” $40; and how could I have not sold $100. I need to embrace that small victory. That is a daily win! Had I not made the $100 goal, I most likely would have sold nothing. $40 is much better than $0!
Always get excited about the things you accomplish! Do not allow yourself to get caught up in what didn’t happen. This can cause business paralysis.

My director sent this link in an email today. She sends me these things because she knows I am unhappy with my current life situation (job stinks, money’s tight, you know the deal). I like it (the movie clip, not my J-O-B!). It reminds me that I do want to pursue directorship SOON! Enjoy the movie!
It can be found on Barefoot Executive.
I couldn’t not post this article. It was a good read after being through some rough road this year. I just have to share it: (more…)
