Career Conference 2011

This weekend I attended my eighth annual Career Conference! Although I’ve been to several, this one stood out from others for a few reasons. First, I attended a conference away from my unit. About 6 months ago I moved to another state. I’m building a new life and I’m figuring out where and how my business fits my life now. Second, I spent the time with my new adopted unit and had a great time! Third, I was exposed to Directors and National Sales Directors that I typically don’t see. This was the first Career Conference I attended that my NSD or her SNSD was not also attending. My NSD was up in Columbus, OH. I love my NSD, but I got to see Stacy James for the first time and she was very inspiring in her own right. Finally, (more…)

Setting and Tracking Goals Pays Off

It has been a full week since Career Conference and I have been working hard! Whenever I go to that event I come back fully recharged and ready to work. This year was reminiscent of my first Career Conference. I came home and sold $1600 retail in that month. I aim to repeat that this year and keep it steady all year. So far, I’m off to a great start! I had a Star Consultant week last week. My goal was to sell $400 retail in that week. I ended up just shy by $29! My total retail sales came to $371.70! That includes discounts! (more…)

Another Inspiring Career Conference!

Well, I just got back from Career Conference not too long ago. This was my sixth conference. I have never missed this event in my career. It is truly my favorite of favorites! The trip down was rather stress free. I only missed one exit and didn’t have too much trouble figuring out how to correct my mistake. I got there with a couple hours to spare to settle in, change into my suit, and grab something to eat. It was fun sporting my new shoes that Hubby bought me! I just love them! Career Conference Experience: 2008

I know it’s been a very long time since I’ve written anything. April was a crazy busy month for me outside of my business. I traveled a bit last month. First, I was at Career Conference and then I went on a Caribbean Cruise. Yes, I know, such is the life! Now that all the fun has passed, it’s time to get back to business! I have much to share!

April 4 & 5, 2008, I attended the Career Conference in Cincinnati, OH. I was impressed! This was the fifth conference I’ve been to — never missing one since signing my agreement! The last two years were somewhat mediocre to me. In 2006 we went to Toledo, OH, and in 2007 we were in Cleveland, OH. Maybe it was the locations that brought me down. I love Cincinnati! This was one of my favorites thus far in my career. There was a lot of energy and the speakers were very inspiring. (more…)
