June Book of the Month

This is something new I’m doing. I want to read more and I’ve finally succeeded in finishing a book I’ve started! June’s book was Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. OK, so I started reading it way back in February! I became sidetracked and pressed for time. I also realize this is not really a business related book, but I do think that in order to be at the top of our game we need to be well adjusted. Eat Pray Love is about exactly that. It’s a woman’s physical and mental journey through self discovery. She travels to Italy, India and Indonesia in an attempt to find pleasure, God, and overall balance which is mainly for her, love of self. (more…)

Live For TODAY!

It has always been my mantra to live each day as if it were my last. Don’t worry about the past because it’s past. Look to the future, but live right now! The future may not get here and if you don’t act now, you won’t be ready for the future! Tonight at my weekly success event, we listened to an excerpt of a book called “Today Matters” by John C. Maxwell. Until tonight, I’d never heard of this man, but his book really makes sense! I am going to purchase it. It wins my award for great inspiration and motivation!

A few weeks ago I was going through a box of old books in the basement looking for something to read to my grandchildren, and I came across a book my wife, Margaret, and I used to read to my daughter, Elizabeth, when she was little.
