Adoptee Program

It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything. I know. I’m not gone. I’m still around! I’ve relocated to a different state! Life has brought many changes this past year. In relocating, I have been able to experience the adoptee program that Mary Kay offers firsthand! What a wonderful program! I have been connected with a great group of ladies down here. My new director is funny and sweet. The ladies in the unit are very welcoming. One of them even went so far to send me a welcome card! She included some postcards I can modify for inviting guests to our meetings. So Go-Give!

So far, I have attended 3 meetings since I’ve been here. I even had a guest for the first one! I’ve been meeting a lot of people here and my boyfriend has helped with that a lot. He is very supportive of everything I do. He even came with me to one of my meetings and he thought it was a great thing. It is so nice to have so much support at home.

I’m back, by the way. I’m going to be blogging more regularly and the direction of this site is going to evolve. It’s going to be about a broader spectrum of subject matter. More to come!

I’m All Over the Web!

I’ve been asked to be a guest author on MK Rules and Balanced Mary Kay. I’ve already started writing for MK Rules. Soon I will be writing on Balanced Mary Kay as well. I will probably post once or twice each week on each blog and keep the bulk of my material right here. Thank you to MK Rules and Balanced Mary Kay for allowing me to participate in your blogs! :D I’m ever so gracious.

Another Layout Change

I thought the old pink layout was getting a little crazy and too busy. I’ve returned to this layout which is more organized and easier on the eyes in my opinion. :D

Comment Moderation is ON

Due to some spam comments that are coming through on this blog, I have turned on comment moderation. Don’t panic. I will moderate regularly. :D

A Blogger Award!

bloggersoftheworld.jpg

I would like to thank Mercedes for offering me this award! I’ve been awarded for my efforts on this blog and I am very grateful and flattered. Thank you, Mercedes!

I would like to pass this award on to a few others:

Balanced Mary Kay — for providing an outlet for all experiences in Mary Kay.
Miss 3 H — for your new blog devoted to finding balance in life.
The Ringleader — for being a great friend.
PynkMyst — for providing wonderful info on being a MK Director.
MK Rules — for inspiring me to create my own MK business blog.

:D

This Tagging Thing!

I’m very popular apparently and Accountable and Mercedes tagged me recently.  Here are the rules of this particular meme: Link to the person that tagged you, and post the rules on your blog.  Share 7 facts about yourself.  Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.   Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog. I’ll be up front that I am breaking the rules as most of my taggees are already tagged!

  1. I have no clue what a meme is. I think I’ll live in suspense.
  2. I was nameless for one week. My parents figured since all my dad’s siblings had  boys first, they would, too. They had no girl names chosen. I was “Baby Girl” for a week — no joke!
  3. I studied with the Joffrey Ballet.
  4. If I could live anywhere of my choosing I’d live in South Carolina near Myrtle Beach; my favorite vacation spot.
  5. My first pet that wasn’t a goldfish was a box turtle. [picture coming soon]
  6. 005_2a.jpgMy first dog was a mini schnauzer and he lived almost 16 years!
  7. Sometimes, I miss living in NYC.

Just Silly

Today I was checking my “Blog Stats” and in there it shows me what keywords people used to find my site. Today’s winner takes the cake for strange:

“cocaine books pink”

Yup, someone found my blog by typing in the word cocaine. That is just bizarre, but it made me laugh.

NaBloPoMo

I joined this interesting blog contest called NaBloPoMo. This is a site dedicated to National Blog Posting Month. The honorary month is November. How it works is that participants must write at least one entry per day in their blogs in November. I figured why not sign up–it’s yet another way to stay accountable. The way I see it is if I am working my business, attending my meetings, taking advantage of training tools, etc; then I have reason to post here and keep everyone informed. In other words, it will make me walk the walk so that I can talk the talk!

If any of you reading are fellow bloggers, you might be interested in registering your own blog(s) into the contest. I have registered this blog as well as Miracle Walker. If you’re a little intrigued, feel free to visit the NaBloPoMo site and explore further!
