Here is a fun event idea that units have been doing where I live. It’s been mainly my director’s unit and her senior director’s unit, but we have a lot of fun with it and guests LOVE it! We call it Lashes & Lunch. These events are typically held on Saturday mornings from 10:00 - noon. Guests get an indepth eye color class. We begin with brief skin care followed by mineral powder foundation or liquid if it is preferred. Then, we have a licensed beautician teach a fun application class on, get this, false lashes! As cheesy as false lashes might sound, you would be surprised at how fun people think it would be to try them! (more…)
After sharing my way of applying the Urban Bazaar eye look, I decided to go to my website and check out the recommended application of this look. It’s a lot different! To be honest, I don’t like how it looks on me. Not that it’s wrong or bad; I just like to see more of a blending of the colors. The description online is more of a way of lining the eyes. There are a couple of looks done this way lately. It’s a new trend. I’m not sure it’s a trend I’m going to follow regularly, but who knows. I have to decide what look to try next! (more…)
I’ve decided to try the different eye looks featured in each issue of The Look. Today I’m featuring Urban Bazaar. I’ve been wearing these colors for a few days now and I really love how they look. Since it is mid-July and the heat is steamy and humid, I think it’s a good time to talk about acne prevention and treatment! In this humidity anyone can have oily overload. Last week I did and I used my typical acne routine. I cleansed, used Blemish Control Toner Formula 3, Night Solution, and moisturizer. So, the focus is acne treatment and oil control products. The other day I posted some photos of my eyes with some new mineral makeup shades. I had different color combinations on each eye. I mentioned that my eyebrows were kind of sloppy. Today I fixed them up to show the importance of keeping them neat.
