I thought this was a great article from Get Motivation: (more…)
I received this movie through one of my many email newsletters. It’s an excellent analogy for time management:
My director sent this link in an email today. She sends me these things because she knows I am unhappy with my current life situation (job stinks, money’s tight, you know the deal). I like it (the movie clip, not my J-O-B!). It reminds me that I do want to pursue directorship SOON! Enjoy the movie!
It can be found on Barefoot Executive.
My director sent this on email. I tink she has it posted on her unitnet site as well. I have seen some of these clips and what I’ve seen are good. I thought I’d share them here.

Mary Kay, Inc. as well as many directors and NSD’s offer training tools to consultants. These tools exist in the form of DVD, CD, and books. The Learn MK Media Source is very useful and the items are minimal cost. Many of the NSD’s CD’s, DVD’s, and tapes are also very reasonably priced. I’d like to share some of my favorites and hear what others of you out there choose as favorites.
These are my top CD choices that I pull out and listen to whenever I get in a slump. I loaded them into my iPod so they are more portable for in the car:
1. Back to Basics featuring Kathy Helou and Debi Moore: 3 CD set available on Kathy Helou’s website as well as Top Director Tapes. This set covers all the Mary Kay basics starting with booking and selling. It also covers image and time management. (more…)
“You have to want it.” This was a sentence one of my dance instructors from the Cleveland Ballet uttered regularly. Having a talent and really wanting to achieve a goal can be completely unrelated. Success stems primarily from passion. If you’re not passionate about what you do, it doesn’t matter if you’re good at it. Eventually, the lackluster attitude will shine through and the talent will be overshadowed. This article from Get Motivation illustrates this concept marvelously:

How Much Do You Yearn?
Christopher Morley has said, “There are three ingredients in
the good life: learning, earning and yearning.” And yearning
can make up for a great lack in the other two. (more…)
These 2 articles remind me of things I heard Lisa Madson say in terms of waiting for the “right time” to start working Mary Kay. She says, “if we wait for all the lights to turn green, we will live here together!” She was referring to actually signing an agreement, but this is so relevant once we are consultants! Waiting for the “perfect time” to start working is just impractical. There is no such thing as the “right time.” Something could always happen to cause a setback or failure. Use these as stepping stones and not road blocks. If you don’t see the path to your success as plain as day, search for the hidden route to your success. Slow and steady can win the race! (more…)
You will love The Pink Movie II: “Today”! This was fresh in my Inbox from Unit Coach when I got home tonight. I love it and just had to share it!
Watch it and prepare to get motivated. Please share you thoughts! ![]()
This article comes from my subscripton to Get Motivation. I think it’s an excellent way to deal with undesirable tasks.
