My web party was basically an email I sent to the hostess. I usually do these when I'm close to a goal because they tend to be hit or miss. They work best with loyal customers, friends, and family members -- people who would be more invested in your goals than a new client. They forward it to their friends. I typically leave them open for a week. I used to do it for 48 hours, but I usually have people ask about it a day or so after it's over so I end up stretching out to a week and that seems to work best.
