Inspiring Guest Event

Last night our local units celebrated the achievement of one of our local consultant earning her first Career Car! Her NSD, Debi Moore came up for the occasion. The event allowed consultants to bring guests so they could have a makeover and try the new Coastal Colors. There were prize giveaways and platform models. Debi talked about the economy and how the recession really isn’t apparent in our industry. I would have to agree that has been my experience. I’m selling those Coastal Color sets like mad and have already had to reorder them! I have made it my goal to see 30 faces in April.

Something that stood out that Debi talked about was another car celebration she attended last week in Connecticut. There was a fairly new consultant there who was all excited about her skin care class the night before. She managed to sell $1000 in that one class! That is simply amazing to me! A woman in my unit told me she used to have $1000 days by doing “Super Saturdays” during which she would just do appointment after appointment and sometimes have 10-15 in attendance at one session. This is something I’m going to try this month and see how it goes. I’m open. Plus, I have a lot of new contacts to get in touch with from the bride show as well as some coworkers who have recently expressed interest in trying the products. I’m feeling optimistic about this month.

I am very happy I attended the event. I was tempted to just go home after work. I had a horrible time sleeping the night before and I got up at 5:00 a.m. to make sure Hubby had dinner (chicken in the crockpot!). I was like a zombie. I think I was also still feeling the fatigue of the meds for that awful allergy attack. In the end, I sucked it up and just went to the event. I want to earn a car one of these days and when it’s my turn, I would want people there for me, too. And the woman who earned her car is so nice. She actually paid me the nicest compliment a few months ago at one of our local events. She is very encouraging and that is why she is where she is with her business. Oh, and yes, my NSD comes up for car parites, too! It will be awesome!
