It has been a full week since Career Conference and I have been working hard! Whenever I go to that event I come back fully recharged and ready to work. This year was reminiscent of my first Career Conference. I came home and sold $1600 retail in that month. I aim to repeat that this year and keep it steady all year.
So far, I’m off to a great start! I had a Star Consultant week last week. My goal was to sell $400 retail in that week. I ended up just shy by $29! My total retail sales came to $371.70! That includes discounts!
Here is how my week worked out. On Sunday afternoon I got a call from a friend/customer that I’ve been playing phone tag with for a few months. She wanted a Basic Set. We talked about what she uses and it sounded like she was using the Classic line so I asked her if she would like to try Time Wise®. She said yes so we scheduled her facial for Tuesday after work. It was fun! It nice catching up. She tried new things and purchased a Miracle Set! It turned out that her birthday was a few days earlier so I gave her 20% off. Her mother also tried the products. She initially said no, but once we got started she said she may as well join in. Hee hee! Both of these ladies are former consultants. Earlier that same day I had sold a mineral powder foundation to a woman at work and when I was taking her things to her a girl in my office followed me back and told me her grandmother loves the products and needed lipstick! So, total sales for the day: $140 –includes the birthday discount!
The quarterly catalogs began arriving in mailboxes last week as well. As a matter of fact, my friend’s was in her mailbox when I was at her house so we went through it together. Again, it was fun!
The next day another friend of mine emailed me that she had received the book and would be ordering soon. Another friend placed an order that day on my website. Total sales for Wednesday: about $69.50!
Saturday morning we had a makeover event at a local director’s house. I had two guests. Both ordered the new color collection! Meanwhile, yet another order came through on my website! Total sales for Saturday: $169.50!
So far this week I’m up to $134. I made about 7 phone calls tonight, but no answer. I left a lot of messages. That’s OK. Sometimes I prefer that! Sunday night I reached one of my customers and she ordered $50. A friend of mine at work had her birthday over the weekend and she is still putting her order together. I havea tentative $50 order as her total (after discount). I got a couple additional orders from people who ordered last week. I’ve sold out of my limited edition color collections! I have to order more this weekend. This is the most color I’ve sold since I signed up! I typically sell just skin care, but these new colors are hot! People love them. It’s been exciting!
My next set of goals I’m going to be focusing on will be booking. I did a large bride fair back in January and each of us who worked the table have roughly 70 new leads to work with! My director has booked another event with the same radio station so it is going to get very interesting here very quickly! With my husband working less right now, this business boom couldn’t come at a better time!

Setting a goal and tracking it really does make a difference! Great job Shades!! Keep it up.
Thanks! It really does work when you follow through with it. This week I have about $120 in sales. I’m going to be very busy on Saturday I think. I’ve been bedridden with a food allergy the past two days and have been asleep on medication for the most part. I hope to be back to normal by tomorrow.
The wonderful thing about this business… it works when you do! You can put it down for a time and pick it back up when you are feeling better
