Setting and Tracking Goals Pays Off

It has been a full week since Career Conference and I have been working hard! Whenever I go to that event I come back fully recharged and ready to work. This year was reminiscent of my first Career Conference. I came home and sold $1600 retail in that month. I aim to repeat that this year and keep it steady all year. So far, I’m off to a great start! I had a Star Consultant week last week. My goal was to sell $400 retail in that week. I ended up just shy by $29! My total retail sales came to $371.70! That includes discounts! (more…)

New Colors; New Looks

Thursday my order arrived with the newest spring Coastal Colors collection and it is so pretty! I wore them all weekend! I learned from my roommate and new friend a great way to wear them to get a dramatic effect and I am going to share because it was pretty easy to pull off! You really need to use brushes to accomplish this and it is so worth it! Well, if you love experimenting with makeup like I do, you will agree. (more…)

This Business is About People

Like last year, the common theme at Career Conference was relationships. It was stressed that this business is built on personal relationships and is not meant to be worked on paper or online. I think this is such an excellent point. People often ask me in regard to this blog if it has increased my sales or my business. The answer is an emphatic no and that is a good thing. The purpose of this site if for me to be accountable to myself and to provide information and possibly some inspiration to others in this business and businesses like it. This blog has strengthened and enriched my business in a way that has no monetary value. It has put me in touch with some amazing people who share similar goals and it provides a tremendous support system not only for me, but for those who read and comment as well. OK, now it’s back to business as usual! There were some great facts shared at the conference this year. Some of the most interesting were about the Beauty that Counts promotion. The promotion resulted in $1.4 million in donation money raised from the sales of Appleberry lipstick! There is going to be another promotion later this year featuring not one, but two shades! Another Inspiring Career Conference!

Well, I just got back from Career Conference not too long ago. This was my sixth conference. I have never missed this event in my career. It is truly my favorite of favorites! The trip down was rather stress free. I only missed one exit and didn’t have too much trouble figuring out how to correct my mistake. I got there with a couple hours to spare to settle in, change into my suit, and grab something to eat. It was fun sporting my new shoes that Hubby bought me! I just love them! It’s been a really long time since I’ve posted. I know. I want to get back into it. There are some pending items I’m waiting on before I get back into the swing of things. I’m going to be purchasing a laptop soon and that will give me more time to be online. I can multitask then. Hehehe…

In business news, I’m a Senior Consultant again! Woot! I have four team members and one became active last month and another is getting active soon. I also have tons of leads from a bride show I recently worked and will be getting to those soon. I’m very excited about business right now!

Finally, I want to take the opportunity to wish you all a Happy St. Patty’s Day. Everyone is Irish today (I’m Irish everyday hehehe). I forgot to wear green today! Can you believe that? I have on Lemon Grass eye shadow. Does that count? Have a great day! I’ll be back more regularly very soon!
