Pajama Party

I just got home from my meeting and while Hubby is watching the Browns, I can sit next to him and blog from my phone! Anyway, I digress. Tonight our meeting theme was Pajama Party! This theme tends to be a great draw for guests. Tonight guests were able to bring their teen and preteen daughters. Moms got satin facials while the girls learned about taking care of their skin and age appropriate makeup tips. The girls had a great time!
So, what’s a Satin Facial, you ask? It’s a night time routine including Microdermabrasion. This is an excellent class to use to show your customers additional supplements. They leave ready for bed!
Now the girls tried Velocity skin care. Then they got treated to a natural and fun makeover. They used tinted moisturizer and were told this can replace foundation if they aren’t allowed to wear it yet. They also tried mineral powder foundation. For a simple makeup look they wore Eyecicles on the eyes, gloss on lips, and bronzer in place of blush.
We stressed that hormones at their age can cause acne and it is something they can’t necessarily control. It was advised not to make fun of those with excessive acne because they might be trying things and haven’t yet found what works. I liked that touch. We also mentioned that some parents don’t allow their kids to wear makeup. Another deterrent to picking on others. I loved that touch!
I’ve been named photograpgher of our unit (well, OK I volunteered) so I got some nice shots of everything. I also took after shots of the girls’ new looks and also some nice pix of the girls with their moms.
It was a great night and it combined two very cool party ideas! Next Monday is MK Bingo! It tends to be our most popular event for guests. More on that next Monday!

Stumble It!
I love these ideas Shades!!! And you posted just after I checked in earlier
Can you give details of the satin facial? I have a couple of different scenarios, but would love to see what you are doing (especially if it works).
I have a Goodnight Party scheduled for early December and am debating which “class” to actually use for it! Any fresh ideas are definitely welcome.
Your goodnight party is probably similar to the satin facial. I’ll post it either later tonight or tomorrow.
I have GOT to get to your meeting at some point. If it weren’t for these toddler people I’d have no problem driving to your side of town (ok expect maybe tonight— was the snow bad by you?).
FUN FUN FUN! Did you all wear pajamas???
We had snow, but not too bad. We’re not in the snowbelt. We DID wear pj’s!
