Tempt My Tummy: Zucchini Quiche

It’s the last Tuesday of November and this Thursday is Thanksgiving already! A quiche is always good in my book.  Have fun this week! And check out more recipes at Blessed with Grace! Have a great Thanksgiving! (more…)

Teen Party

Our teen and preteen (’tweens) guests on Monday night received a lesson in skin care and how to apply age appropriate makeup. Those notes follow. I copied from my director’s email: (more…)

The Satin Facial

This comes by request for SkinCareMom and anyone else who might be interested. Last night at our meeting our 18 and over guests received “Satin Facials” to get them ready for bed. The layout follows. I copied it directly from an email my director sent. If you’re looking for new ideas for parties, this just might work for you! (more…)

Tempt My Tummy: Chicken and Artichokes with Wine Sauce

This week’s edition of Tempt My Tummy with Blessed With Grace is a new recipe I tried out of my Better Homes and Gardens Cookbook. I was going to do a Rachael Ray recipe with similar ingredients, but decided this one looked easier. I’ve made the Rachael Ray one before and I didn’t have some of the ingredients. I needed stuff for the one I made, so I decided to try something new since I had to go to the store. The result was one good dinner! :D (more…)

Pajama Party

I just got home from my meeting and while Hubby is watching the Browns, I can sit next to him and blog from my phone! Anyway, I digress. Tonight our meeting theme was Pajama Party! This theme tends to be a great draw for guests. Tonight guests were able to bring their teen and preteen daughters. Moms got satin facials while the girls learned about taking care of their skin and age appropriate makeup tips. The girls had a great time! (more…)

Fight the Frump: Keep Your Face Fresh

I’m happy to give you my second installment of “Tempt My Tummy!” This recipe is a big hit and it’s easy to make. I even took it to work for a lunch party one time. Everyone loved it! Great Discounts Available to Consultants

Today I learned something awesome about this company. My wireless service is covered by a special Mary Kay discount! If you haven’t already done so, check with your wireless service provider and see if they have a Mary Kay discount, too! Today I finally got my Blackberry® Curve. I have a plan through Verizon Wireless and have come upon my “new every 2″ offer. Meaning I get a discount on a new phone once my two year contract is up. I had a $100 credit toward a new phone. The Curve is $170. So, I paid $70, but guess what, there is more. There is a $70 mail in rebate! My phone was F-R-E-E FREE! Yes. I do not get cell phones unless they are free. Hee hee! (more…)

Fight the Frump: Sunless Tanning Lotion

It’s been a long time since I’ve participated in Fight the Frump with Fussypants. I’m back; for now, anyway. I had to think about what I wanted to write about for avoiding frumpiness and since it is turning cold out and winter is fast approaching — I mean we had snow today — the sun is going away. Some of you might have a nice tan from being out in the sun’s rays. I’m not so fortunate. I’m always pale. Sometimes I’m a darker shade of pale, but pale nonetheless. (more…)
