MKC Gal: “Thank you for calling MK. How can I help you today, Shades [she knew who I was!]?”
ME: “Hi! I have a question about the rebate the company is currently doing. Does it apply to former consultants that are paying the $20 renewal fee? I have someone doing this. She was on my team about 2 years ago, but terminated. She never got active. Now she is going to do the $20 restart. Is she still eligible for the rebate if she does a $600 order?”
MKC Gal: “Oh, Shades, I don’t think it applies to former consultants, but let me check for you in case I’m mistaken.”
ME: “OK…”
*uh-oh*
MKC Gal: [after some page turning] “Shades, I’m going to ask you to hold for just a moment, I’m sorry.”
ME: “No problem…”
MKC Gal: “OK, Shades, it turns out I am corrected. Yes, all new consultants qualify for the rebate if they place the qualifying order. She will be eligible.”
ME: “Oh that is great news! Thank you!”
MKC Gal: “Is there anything else I can help you with today, Shades?”
ME: “Actually, yes. I have a question about PCP mailings can you help me with that?”
MKC Gal: “Well, Shades, you can ask and I will see if I can answer and if not I will connect you to them.”
ME: “OK. I did the Month Two Mailer featuring the new Compact Pro and I think my customers have gotten it. My mom told me she got her. I didn’t receive one myself. Should I have gotten one, too?”
MKC Gal: “OK. I will connect you directly to the PCP line and just tell them what happened when they answer.”
ME: “OK, Thanks!”
PCP Gal: “Hi! Thank you for calling MK. Is this Shades?” [I love when they know who it is!]
ME: “Yes.”
PCP Gal: “What can I help you with today?”
ME: “Well, I think I did the PCP Month 2 Mailer, but I’m not positive because sometimes I forget what I mail. My mom got a brochure with the Compact Pro. I didn’t get one. Should I have gotten one, too?”
PCP Gal: “Let me see if you did it…yes you sure did and you should have received one. How about if I send you one? I have a few right here. It’s going in the mail right now!”
ME: “Thanks so much!”

Stumble It!

What a great Company that I can proudly say that I am part of! I didn’t realize that the rebate applied to former consultants who want to come back into the Company too! I have some phone calls to make! Thanks for making that discovery!
It took me a little bit to figure out they weren’t really calling you Shades. I was thinking to myself how they could know your nickname. Then I thought that you signed up as Shades of Pink on your contract. Then I wondered how you can do that without your legal name. *you can come smack me any time* I totally understand this has nothing to do with your post. But this is what I was thinking when I was reading it.
I’m ready for that vacation anytime. Remind me again how I got into a University. LOL.
Gotta love Corporate! So efficient!
You set a good example Shades, you had a question and you called the Company and got an answer!
Fancy that!
Have an Awesome August.
Shades…you know that is good. I too have call MKC and they have always answered my questions and if the department I called didn’t know the answer they always hooked me up with the department that could answer it. So they are there to help you. Good post. And like MK4ME said “FANCY THAT.”
Have a GREAT DAY
FANTABULOSO NEWS! My brochure came today. Except, it wasn’t just a loose brochure sent in the mail; it was inside an envelope. When I opened the envelope there wasn’t just one brochure in there. There were THREE, yes, that’s right THREE in there! One for myself and 2 to hand out.
