Tracking, Tracking, Tracking!

Back on my topic about goal posters, it came up that many of us (myself included) have trouble with tracking. This is the first quarter I’m tracking my goals. Yes, after five years in this business, I’m going to do some tracking and see where I land. I’m tracking many things. The first thing I’m focusing on is, of course, my sales. I’m committed to selling $3000 retail in August. I’m off to a good start. I have a silent hostess out and I sold $60 this weekend. I’m working on getting more silent hostesses out there.
My next focus is a program my NSD is promoting called The Masters Program. This program is fantastic! It promotes the activities that move products and build customers. Basically, the goal is to follow one of two tracks (yes, we can choose which one we are more comfy with). Track one is called the “Candidate” track. Candidates must put products on 15 faces and give company information to 5 people in one month. We also must sell $400 retail ($200 wholesale). This qualifies us to participate on a conference call with our NSD*. Track two is called the “Graduate” track. If we follow this track we are focusing on 30 faces and 10 interviews (company info) backed by selling $1200 retail ($600 wholesale). These achievers receive other recognition and prizes in addition to the phone call*.
The idea here is that if you are truly booking the appointments and putting the products on this many people, the sales will follow. Sure, one could just order the wholesale and lie about the faces, but why? What’s the point? Anyway, I digress. By focusing on these two programs and really tracking everything I do, I will reach my goals. Even if I don’t reach my goals, I will see where I was and this will allow me to create a solution for the next time.
Incidentally, Hubby hung my goal poster on the wall! Take a look!
*Note: it is not possible to earn the call without meeting all three requirments.

Stumble It!

You can do it. Just stay focused. You’re building steam. Keep it up. ; )
Great program! It really does work and will build your business to the point of choosing what you want out of it
And the goal poster looks great!
I know I am tracking for Leadership recognition right now and have a tracking sheet taped to my product cabinet… every change (new team member, wholesale order~mine or a unit member, etc) gets added to the tracking sheet so I can see exactly what still needs to be accomplished!
Keep up the good focused work Shades!
This is what I need to do. I eventually want to get to Perfect/Power Starts each month, but I feel more comfortable starting off a little slower.
By the way, did you go to seminar this year?
OK girls I am going to start tracking too. I went to my directors today and we sat down and made my yearly goals, and my monthly goals and weekly goals. Made a little goal poster and I am going to hang it on the wall it is just card board but that is ok too. I am going to hang it by the computer so that I can look at it everytime that I am on the computer. We will see. I will post my goals here and on my site too.
Yearly goal…By July 2009…I want to be a director and heading for a Cadi…I would like to be Queen of Sales and the Court of sharing too…I also want the jewerly.
Monthly goals….I want to make Ruby star every quarter…I want to sell 1800 a month. I want to have at least 1,2 or 3 recruits….
Weekly goals….I would like to make at 5 calls a week. I would really like to make 10. I am going to try to 5+5+5 These are my goals and I will try and keep them…Oh I forgot I want to master the booking and selling part of this business because I believe that the recruiting will fall into place. So there are my goals. Have a good night.
Bren, those are great goals! And there’s nothing wrong with cardboard.
If it keeps the goal in front of you, it’s good!
I’m strategizing for that $3000 retail goal I’ve set for myself this month. I NEED HAVE TO MUST HAVE that red purse!!!!!! LOL
So, strategy:
- 2 classes per week minimum
- hand out 5 cards each day
- try some things I have been extremely uncomfortable with in the past
- try silent hostesses
- call current customers
Shades those are GREAT and I too want that red purse. I want it and will sell my way too it. We have until September 15, of just one day before my birthday what a birthday present for myself. Have a Great Evening
Sounds like a perfect happy birthday gift to me!
Hmm…my anniversary is in September…guess I could have an anniversary present!
Oh I should add that I have started counting down the dollars to my goal. I wrote $3000 on the dry erase board and each time I sell something this month, I subtract it from the total until I get to 0!
Shades… that is probably going to be the “thing” that gets you what you want! You have your goal in front of you and know exactly what you need to do to get to it….subtracting each $$$$sale from your month goal will show you when you need to make the extra push and call “just ONE more customer” to get the sale you need to zero it out
I know… I do that with every goal I have!
Thanks, SCM! I have never tried this before. It’s already helping!
Shades…I lover your strategy! We just need to be good to people.
Can you do any Mary kay at work?
I can do MK at work to some extent. I’m strapped to a phone and a computer most of the time. I do wear my pin every day. I will do so until someone tells me I can’t.

Some of my coworkers buy from me. A couple are thinking about signing with me.
I have done facials on lunch. I work at a university and I’ve done things with some of the sororities on campus as well.
I drive 30 miles each way to work every day. You can imagine how I embrace making deliveries to the office.
