June Book of the Month

This is something new I’m doing. I want to read more and I’ve finally succeeded in finishing a book I’ve started! June’s book was Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. OK, so I started reading it way back in February! I became sidetracked and pressed for time. I also realize this is not really a business related book, but I do think that in order to be at the top of our game we need to be well adjusted. Eat Pray Love is about exactly that. It’s a woman’s physical and mental journey through self discovery. She travels to Italy, India and Indonesia in an attempt to find pleasure, God, and overall balance which is mainly for her, love of self.
If you have not read this book, I do highly recommend it. I think it is a great book for any woman who is having any type of inner conflict to read. Maybe I can relate so well to the author because we are both July babies and Cancer babies.
Perhaps I loved it so much because it makes being human feel normal again. Or could it have been how inspiring it was? To be able to just go travel the world on a whim would be awesome! What can I say, the book moved me!

In July I’ll be reading Time Traps: Proven Strategies for Swamped Salespeople by Todd Duncan. Hopefully, I’ll finish it within a month!

Stumble It!
I need to finish that book…along with about 6 others. *thunk*
You’re a July baby too?! When is/was your birthday? (Mine is this Thursday!)
I had checked out the audio book for this from the library, but I couldn’t burn it to a CD and got frustrated…I guess its a sign that I should actually check out the physical book. July’s book sounds interesting, let us know how it goes!
LOL! Yes, it can take me forever to get through a book sometimes. It only took me 6 months to get through this one.
Hopefully, I can get through the next on in a month.
Hi Sabrina! My birthday was last Thursday (July 3). Happy Birthday a little early!
I’m looking forward to reading Time Traps. It seems pretty relevant to our business. I’ve heard excerpts from it in training from one of the directors I work with. Good stuff!
Eat Pray Love is one of my fav books. I am glad you enjoyed it. I would love to go to Italy and applaud the good looking men and eat whatever I like! ; ) I want to read “The Whitney Chronicles”. I think I’m ordering the books next check.
