Painting With Colors

Just for fun I decided to try a different look on each eye. I just couldn’t help myself! Also, I couldn’t contain myself long enough to wait til morning so I fooled around with makeup after my shower tonight. Call me crazy, I don’t care!

On my left eye I am wearing Silky Caramel in the browline and on the lid; Lemongrass in the inner crease; and Amber Blaze on the outside crescent and outer crease. The look is more subtle than I had anticipated. Also, I will point out here that none of the options included all four colors at once. That may be an experiment in the near futures. I’ve been more daring with my colors lately.
Now, on the right eye I have on Silky Caramel in the browline and lid once again. This time, Amber Blaze is in the inner crease and Denim frost is in the outer crease and outer crescent. I don’t know which look I like more. Both are nice. I wasn’t sure I liked them at first, but when I saw the photos I was more impressed than I was with the mirror image.
Some things I will point out. I know I have bushy eyebrows. I like them them that way. It’s 11:00 p.m. and I wasn’t about to tweeze them now. Perhaps in the morning. I don’t do my brows thin and there is a whole dance story involving me and a crabby makeup artist who was tweezer happy! He was NOT getting my brows! Yes, I tweeze them now.
NO he did NOT tweeze me browless in 1994!
Back to tonight’s mini makeover. I finished off with Steely eyeliner and Ultimate Mascara in black. So please, do you like one set of colors over the other? What do you think overall of these new colors? One final bit of information is that this look was done using the summer Gift With Purchase Color Quad! Voila!

Stumble It!

Very pretty. I might have to try the quad gift with purchase.
Thank you!
Looks good! The Lemongrass does not work for me personally, but my daughters love it
I’m liking both. It’s good to know that the colors are sheer. I have a Kevin Aucion make-up book that recomends a sheer blue for young/teen girls. I’m glad to know we have a blue that fits the bill. I’m loving the Lemongrass on you. Definately, the left eye is my favorite.
Now we should all go take pictures of our eyes and post them, LOL. BTW Shades, you have very pretty eyes. Can I say that without sounding creepy?
Kim
Wow Shades you should be an eye model!!! This really caught my attention. I like that dusty glimmery look.
LOL Thank you, Kim. Not at all creepy.
And thank you, too, Colleen.
I’m a sucker for shimmer — especially on the eyes! I wasn’t sure about Lemongrass at all when I first laid eyes on it, but it blends real nicely.
Very cool post. I haven’t seen the colors yet, but they look beautiful on you!
I am Sharing the Love at my place!
lv2tch, thank you so much. Thank you for visiting.
I always have a hard time putting on eye shadow and this is great instruction. I love the natural color with a hint of shimmer.
