I just utilized my jewelry organizer available as a hostess gift this quarter. It’s quite impressive! It holds a lot and I can see what I’ve got! Occasionally, someone finds this site searching the keywords “how to set up a display table” or “what should I put on a display table.” I’ve decided to address that since I did a table event all day today. Our table was simple, but attractive. We had one catalog book placed in a spiral bound display sleeve. I know that sounds weird. These are fabulous and can be purchased at File It Pro. We had my display trays so that people could see the new colors in person. My friend had made up raffle prizes. Ten winners would receive a lipstick and liner (discontinued platinum packaging) in our drawing. I found an old product gift box that worked perfectly as an entry box. We also had two dishes with mints, our door prize grand prize for the event, and a box filled with samples that people could take. (more…)
The other day I posted some photos of my eyes with some new mineral makeup shades. I had different color combinations on each eye. I mentioned that my eyebrows were kind of sloppy. Today I fixed them up to show the importance of keeping them neat.

Just for fun I decided to try a different look on each eye. I just couldn’t help myself! Also, I couldn’t contain myself long enough to wait til morning so I fooled around with makeup after my shower tonight. Call me crazy, I don’t care!

This evening my order arrived! I’ve been waiting! I am always impressed with how quickly my products arrive after I order them. I think I placed my order last Wednesday. Tonight I got my new colors arranged nicely into the display trays. I don’t have every single color in there, but I have most of the eye colors and the blushes I find most appealing.
I have all of the new eye colors in the bottom tray except for Coal. I have Cinnamon Stick cheek color in the top right corner set. In the top center square you will see Sunny Spice (left) and Sparkling Cider (right) cheek colors. The bottom center square contains Berry Brown (left) and Pink Petals (right) cheek colors. Most likely, I will order one or two more display trays to showcase everything in an appealing manner. If you choose to do this yourself, be sure to arrange the colors to compliment each other. Avoid having colors that clash too close to each other in the tray.

I hope all are enjoying Father’s Day! My dad is out of town today, but I got to talk to him and gave him a card last night. It’s a beautiful day so I will be spending most if it in the sunshine!

Last night at my meeting the focus was trunk shows and on-the-go. I wanted to share an idea that a unit member of mine is doing to promote the Apple Berry Lipstick promotion. She shared that her goal is to sell 100 Apple Berry Lipsticks by December 31. Here is what she is doing. She has packaged several Apple Berry Lipsticks and the special promotional bags into a Miracle Set Bag and carries this with her to work, on errands, etc. People ask her about the bag and she tells them about the promotion. More and more I am finding it so important to have power partners. I have a few. Some are online power partners while others are people I see in the three dimensional world. 
Both are so important! It is always good to have people build you up when you are feeling weak. This is also why our weekly meetings are so important. The unit should be just that: a unit of support! Going to my meeting lifts me up after a hard day at the office. If something at home is more pressing, I don’t go; but I do try to go every week. (more…)
