Easy On the Go Idea

This is a great idea for taking the new mineral products with you on the go! The current hostess gift (March 16, 2008 — June 15, 2008) will hold one display tray, all six mineral powder foundations, and two compacts inside! It is easy to travel with and you can show the products easily. The new display trays are impressive, I might add. I never invested in the older ones. I am happy I got a couple of these!
This idea was shared by an Executive Senior Sales Director at one of my meetings in April. The beauty of this idea is it not only displays the products, but you are also promoting the current hostess gift. This can be used to do on the go appointments and also makes a great booking tool. I am going to be carrying it with me to work and just out and about. Of course I will keep you posted on how it works for me. If you decide to try it, too; please share your experiences and results!

Stumble It!

I like it!! The only thing is….how do you keep the mineral powders from getting all messy inside?! (with the excess powder in the sifter not getting out of control) Now when I carry them around I take care to put them in the bag upright so they don’t get messy. Would that be possible in this? Or is it not even an issue?
I thought about this. I carry it flat as much as I can and don’t have too much trouble. The most trouble I’ve had with messy mineral powder was after flying. Most of the powder wound up in the lid. Walking around with them in the tote doesn’t get too bad. I carry the Everything Tote with me, too and it fits well inside there without tipping over.
What I found really keeps the mineral powder where it belongs when I carry them around, I took a pack of our round two pack of the cosmetic sponges, the ones that fit in the platinum foundation compact and just drop two into the little screen cup and then put the litd on, you can shake, rattle, and roll and very little ends above the screen!
That is a great idea! Thanks, mk4me! Also, I’ve noticed that the powder doesn’t move around too much unless it’s tipped completely upside down.
Happy blogoversary!
What a great idea!
My question is, are you using the Mineral Powders as demo’s? Do you have seperatre “demo brushes”, or do you just do the q-tip on the jaw tecnique?
Hi Pink Lady! I do use the Mineral Powders and I typically use cotton balls for extreme on-the-go and for more involved encounters, I do use demo brushes–just little powder brushes from the dollar store will do. Another tip on demoing the Mineral Powders (this is more for a class setting) is put some powder into a cupcake wrapper for each guest. This way, they can re-dip their brushes without contaminating your pan of powder.
Teena, thank you! I can’t believe it’s been a year already!
I love this idea!!
Plus I love the suggestion to use cupcake papers at the SCC. I had been shaking a little powder onto their styrofoam tray, but I think having it contained in a cupcake paper is more professional looking.
Thanks for sharing this idea!
Thanks for the tips. It’s so great to find positive and helpful MK sites. I’m fairly new to all of this and this site, as well as “My Pink Truth” are a huge help to me.

This looks really professional. I think this will up sales for people who really adhere to it.
