Makeover for Me!

I have been dying for a haircut for months now. My hair is kind of long now. When it gets this long it tends to look stringy and thin. I have ultra-fine hair. It doesn’t help that my underactive thyroid causes hair loss. I want something dramatic and I think I want to change the color, too. I’m thinking highlights; blonde highlights. My husband wants me to go totally blonde, but my fair skin might not work with blonde hair. My mom goes to a new hair stylist now and I think I’m going to try her out. Color is her specialty. I’ll have to see.
The other night, hubby and I were watching TV. I have no idea what we were watching, but at one point, they were talking about Victoria Beckham. I am not a Spice Girls fan by any stretch, but they showed her new haircut and I really like it.
I think I could pull off the cut. I don’t want the blonde hair, but I could totally do the style and instead of going all blonde, I would go for chunky blonde highlights!
It would be the shortest I’ve ever had my hair. Maybe I’d have just a little more length on the sides and in the back, but I don’t know. My hair tends to grow fast. I’m really tempted to be very daring here. Hubby will probably be very disappointed. Being the typical man he is, he prefers long hair. I like long hair, but about once a year I like to chop it off. I’m thinking this would be a good look for me in 2008! ![]()

Stumble It!

cute doo, bet you look good in any doo. I changed mine too, but I don’t know if I like it.
I wish I could find something that was flattering on me. I got thick hair with some natural curl.
thanks! I’m sure your new ‘do looks good. Sometimes we are self conscious because we’re not used to it, but others see it as very flattering.
When I saw the pic of the back on the link, I was sold. It’s not as short as I thought. I thought it was shaved back there and I’m not ready to shave my head yet!
What do you use to make your hair grow fast?
Hi Colleen, my hair just grows fast. In the past when I tried to grow it faster, I used to use Mane n’ Tail conditioner. I’m not sure it did anything. My hair seems to grow fast on its own. It doesn’t grow as rapidly now as it did in my early 20’s. Sorry I don’t have more advice for you there!
Oh wow!!! I have long hair (not as long as it used to be) and I used Mane and Tail and for some stupid reason I stopped maybe I need to get on the horse bandwagon again. Mrs Ed speaking here. ****Wilbur*****
LOL!! Oh! I remember what I was using more recently. I was using Garnier Fructis Length & Strength shampoo and conditioner. Try that. I used that to grow my hair longer for my wedding last year.
You must be reading my mind Shades!!! I used a sample of that stuff 3 weeks ago and my hair was shining like a diamond for 3-4 days. Ill get some this weekend and let you know how it works in a month. Thanks!!!
np! Good luck! The only trouble I run into with Fructis is after awhile, my hair gets too dry from it. I do think it helped grow my hair a little faster.
Now I’m a cheapskate and I use V05. lol
I read some reviews on the net of Garnier and I saw where two ladies said it made their hair dry as well but I still like the stuff but thanks for the heads up Im going to get some tomorrow…VO5 doesnt do anything for me (the shampoo) I love the hairdressing pomade.
Some V05 works for me and some doesn’t. I switch it up among the raspberry, strawberries and cream, and strawberries and champagne. They all seem to do different things, but all work well on my hair. Who knew!?
