That to me, does not mean I have to be thankful this or that happened. To me, it means when I thank Him, I am trusting that He really is the one in charge and will see me through whatever it is at that time. Kind of like the woman In 'Facing the Giants'. When she went to her car after they told her yet again that she was not pregnant. She stood there by her car sobbing and giving thanks at the same time.
