Move that Color!

With big changes coming in the MK Color line, we are going to need some help moving what we’ve got so we don’t get stuck. My director emailed some tips from another director. They look like some really excellent ideas. So far, I’ve just skimmed over it. I’d love your feedback and if you have ideas, feel free to share! Next month, I’m doing a HUGE Back to School Sale to move that color! My director gets some of her info from a website called All About You. It’s a resource for directors. So, if any directors are gracing my blog with their presence
it might be a great resource for you. It looks like you have to get a membership and that may have a fee. Thought I’d mention it for anyone interested.
This is the email I received today:
To make room for our NEW Color Cosmetics I am strongly focusing on COLOR with my CUSTOMER BASE and NEW CUSTOMERS! I have worked on SOME SIMPLE CONCEPTS to help teach my customers and to MOVE MY COLOR PRODUCTS at the SAME TIME! ENJOY! PS: I find great tips in LADIES magazines!!!
I am creating a SLAMMIN Customer Newsletter for September to SOLELY FOCUS ON COLOR! GET READY GET READY!
Makeup Tips:
YOUR 5 MINUTE FACE (WAKEUP MAKEUP): Dual Coverage Powder Foundation, Bronzing Powder (brighten outer portion of your face, include cheeks & eye lids), Lip Liner & a Lip Gloss & a Neutral Highlighting Eye Shadow (Crystalline, Spun Silk, Tropical Sun, Goldenrod, Bamboo, Copper Beach, White Sand, Moonstone, Sheer Pink).
6 Steps to Wake Up Your Makeup:
#1) Concealer will hide any darkness/redness and make you look more awake. Try it under your eyes and on your lids. Our Yellow Concealer will neutralize any imperfection with red, pink or purple undertones.
#2) Use the right shade of a lightweight foundation. A foundation with a yellow undertone will help to even any redness.
#3) A Bronzing Powder swept over your eye lids and cheeks will add warmth and a wake up to your skin ton.
#4) Neutral Eye Shadows and Eye Liners will enhance your eyes. Eye liner does not have to be perfect, you can soften it with a cotton swab.
#5) To define, brighten and open your eyes use two coats of Mascara especially on the upper lashes. Due to dust, bacteria, drying out, and eye lash mites you need to replace your Mascara every 3 months. A fresh Mascara performs magnificently.
#6) Be sure to coordinate your Lip Liner shades with Glosses & Lip Sticks. In a hurry… add a Lip Liner and a coordinating Lip Gloss. Appear more youthful by adding a little shimmer and gloss.
LOOK 10 years YOUNGER in just 10 MINUTES:
Why do you need to look younger NOW? Your eye areas may be sagging due to loss of collagen and elastin. Loss of elasticity and decreased circulation may cause puffiness to last longer. Dark circles appear due to thinning of the skin. Lashes will become skimpier and wimpier. Wrinkles have set up permanent camp on your face especially near the eyes, forehead and around the mouth. Skin is likely to become drier because of reduced oil production, sun exposure and hormonal changes. Lack of proper removal of dead skin cells will cause skin to be duller and rough in texture. Your lips and mouth area have lost elasticity and been damaged by the sun thus cause sagging, wrinkles and a less defined lip line. Your Jaw & Neck are being pulled by gravity and have a loss of collagen and elasticity.
Steps to looking younger in just 10 minutes
#1) Mature skin does not hold onto color for long. Use Eye Primer and Age Fighting Lip Primer.
#2) Use a Lightweight Foundation and a Loose powder or Dual Coverage powder Foundation. Applying foundation or powder too heavy will cause lines and wrinkles to stand out more. Use the Mk Signature Brush Set to concentrate coverage around key areas such as your nose, forehead and chin.
#3) Concealer applied from the inner corner to mid pupil brightens up the eyes. Apply 3 dots near the tear duct and blend with a brush or your ring finger. Using a concealer over the lines near the our corners of your eyes will only DEFINE lines and wrinkles.
#4) Wake up your eyes by lining your upper lash line with a richly colored eyeliner. Sometimes lining underneath your eye can make you look tired. A thick line of eyeliner will only close up the eyes. You can even use the eye defining brush from the MK Signature brush set and line your eyes with an eye shadow.
#5) Light colored eye shadows help to brighten your eyes and help you to look younger and awake. Applying a darker shade along the bone of your crease will help to firm up a “saggy” eyelid.
#6) A well groomed brow is essential as we age. Use an eyebrow pencil a shade lighter than your hair and apply with short feathery strokes. Avoid hard lines! Concentrate on the peak of the brow and soften with a cotton swab.
#7) Using two cheek colors will help you to look younger by BRIGHTENING and waking up your face. Start by using an MK Signature Cheek color brush, dust a brighter cheek color over your cheeks than you usually wear for that extra pop of color that mature skin needs. Apply the second cheek color (several shades lighter) just to the apples of the cheeks.
#8) To contour your face and give it polished definition use a slightly darker powder or a foundation and apply it along your neck and right underneath your jaw. The color will emulate the natural shadow that’s already there.
#9) As we mature it becomes extremely important to use a Lip Liner to define your lips but avoid “ring-around-the-lips”.
#10) Choose brighter shades of Lipstick and Lip Gloss to truly compliment fading skin tones.
LOOK YOUNGER: MAKEOVER YOUR MAKEUP BAG!!
Subtle shimmer is flattering and youthful. Say so long to dry, chalky matte colors. Look more youthful by adding soft touchable textures, Add a little shimmer, softness and a little gloss too!
Say by by to little girls pastels it’s time to Highlight, ACCENT and Contour with Mid tones.
What to add:
1) The right shade of lightweight foundation to evenly match your skin tone. NOTE we are never the same tone every season of the year. Does your foundation match your skin this season?
2) A NEW Brighter Cheek Color a shade brighter than you usually use.
3) A New Eye-Shadow palette with a variety of light shades to highlight your lids and brow bone, darker shades for accenting your crease and mid tone shades for your lid near the lashes.
4) A Brow Pencil a shade lighter than your hair and the MK Signature brow brush to soften.
5) A NEW VIVID cheek color to “pop the apple’s” of your cheek with.
6) A NEW MASCARA - Replace your Mascara every 3 months. Get the look you need and want by choosing the right Mascara for you.
7) Eye Primer and Age Fighting Lip Primer to help your COLOR STAY TRUE and STAY PUT!
A Concealer that brightens, Neutralizes and covers.
9) Light up your look and lift the shadowy areas of your face with an MK Signature Facial Highlighting Pen.
10) MK SIGNATURE BRUSH SET - Your most important tool!
11) NEW Eye Liners coordinated with your eye shadows to create a more youthful you!
12) Dual Coverage Powder foundation - use for quick touch up or every day for a light weight foundation.
13) Bronzing Powder for a soft subtle youthful sun kissed glow. Great for the eyelids and cheeks when you need to look great in a HURRY!
14) NEW Lip Liners coordinated with your Lip Sticks and Lip Glosses to create a more youthful you!
15) Choose brighter shades of Lipstick and Lip Gloss to truly compliment fading skin tones.
Don’t be afraid to come out of your comfort zone a little, the result could be a YOUNGER LOOKING NEW YOU!
