Eye Revitalizer: Here We Go Again!

OK, this news isn’t as bad as I feared when I first started to read it, but it’s excellent information nonetheless and is understandable. I’m relieved that the PCP version features the product! Anywho, this was in my email tonight:

As you may know, the TimeWise® Targeted-Action Eye Revitalizer is now available for ordering. And while this fabulous new product is featured in the Fall/Holiday Preferred Customer Program version of The Look, you may wonder why it is not included in the Fall/Holiday issue of The Look that you can order on the Sept. 16 Consultant order form (open stock version.)

At the time we went to press for the open stock version of this brochure, we still were not sure when this product would be available. We did not want to put you in the position that a product was again featured in The Look that you were not able to offer your customers. The Preferred Customer Program version of The Look went to press at a later date so we were able to include the TimeWise® Targeted Action Eye Revitalizer.

The good news is that the TimeWise® Targeted-Action Eye Revitalizer ad, as seen in the Summer issue of The Look, will be posted on the Mary Kay® InTouch Web site Sept. 16 so you can print the ad and insert into The Look you share with your customers.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Warmest regards,

Greg Franklin

Vice President of U.S. Marketing

Facing Fears

This is something I have always struggled with in my business. To call or not to call. To talk to her or not to talk to her. What if she hangs up on me? What if she is rude? What if she says no? Being fearful and avoiding these negative scenarios can paralyze us in our businesses. This article reiterates a lot of what is often mentioned by NSD’s and SD’s. How much more business would we do if we just embraced our fears and worked through them?

Courage, it’s old-fashioned and it still matters. Courage is

not about exposing yourself to physical danger — that’s the

easy stuff. Courage is about facing your fears. About

Work at Home Fitness

Oh how fitting! It covers exercise and acknowledges that working from home is work! This is from my new favorite website (well, one of them, anyway) Life Tools for Women.

Stay Fit While Working From Home

By Lynn Bode

Despite what many think, working from home takes considerable time and work. I’m sure you’ve heard someone say, “She doesn’t really have a job, she just works from home.” That statement couldn’t be further from the truth! Running a home business takes more time than a salaried position. Thus many women feel they are too busy to take time for exercise. (more…)

Steps to Self Confidence

I found this article from Pick the Brain. I think it’s great for not only confidence, but also image. Because, after all, looking good and feeling good go hand in hand.

10 Ways to Instantly Build Self Confidence

by: John Wesley

Self confidence is the difference between feeling unstoppable and feeling scared out of your wits. Your perception of yourself has an enormous impact on how others perceive you. Perception is reality — the more self confidence you have, the more likely it is you’ll succeed.

Image Is Everything

OK. There seems to be debate about what construes “professional attire.” I am sure most of the readers on these blogs are savvy. I just want to say my piece and get it out there. ;) I have seen plenty of people wear really odd things as “business professional.” I’ll start by posting what is on Intouch: (more…)

Calm Routine

My brother introduced me to Digg and I found this article from a site called Zen Habits. I’m going to see if I can incorporate this into my routine. :)

12 Ideas for Establishing a Calming Routine

Every Wednesday is Simplicity Day on Zen Habits.

One of the most rewarding changes in my life in the last couple of years has been finding peace with a morning routine.

I’ve made it a habit to wake before most of the world, at about 4:30 a.m., and just enjoy the quiet and solitude.

It has made all the difference in the world. (more…)

I Think I Need a Makeover

Today I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror at work and I was not pleased with what I saw. ( I look pretty rough, to put it mildly. The stress of these past few months have really left me raggedy. My hair has grown out quite a bit, which my husband likes. I think my hair is stringy and needs cut. I haven’t been wearing makeup. I don’t even add it during the day anymore. I have a “what’s the point?” kind of attitude right now. I used to get this way pre-Mary Kay days. In light of all that’s been happening I actually feel guilty about trying to work my business. Can you believe that? It’s a business that will help us financially, but because I enjoy it, I feel guilt. What is going on???

I really need to get my MK image going again. That will make me want to get out there and work it more. I have customers to call. I need to just do it anyway! Time to get motivated again! I feel a BIDIA coming on…

Annual convention to see debut of entire Cadillac line in signature shade

10:19 AM CDT on Monday, July 16, 2007

By VASANTH SRIDHARAN / The Dallas Morning News

vsridharan@dallasnews.com The first thing to behold is the pink, which is more like the shade of a bubble gum bubble than a bottle of Pepto-Bismol. It shines differently from different angles, and, upon close inspection, it sparkles.

But close inspection isn’t needed to see the chrome Mary Kay emblem attached just above another ostentatiously shiny name Escalade.

This is not your mother’s pink Cadillac.
