Tuesday night at my MK meeting, we had a lot of fun! Our directors picked out makeup looks for us and we consultants got makeovers for a change! I absolutely love the look my director picked out for me! I’ve been wearing it ever since. I’ll wear it again today.
The purpose of our makeovers was to take before and after shots of how we looked and start a portfolio for the upcoming MK Model Search. I think it’s a great promotion and I’m going to run with it and see how many faces I can get into the portfolio! I have lots of calls to make tonight! 
I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day. This video was sent to me in an email. I thought it was very moving. It’s sad, but fitting.

I want to have a section on Product Knowledge. I’m not sure if I’m going to make it a post or a page. I’ll start with a post. Actually, I think I will make it a category and I will make different posts in the “Know Your Product” category about different aspects of the product line. For example, one will cover uses, one will cover application, one will be about makeup tips, etc. Yes, I think I like that idea.
My marketing textbook arrived today! What’s amazing is that it is a hard cover book and it is BENT the whole way thru! Surely someone ran over it w/ a car! The pages are readable and none seem to be missing and that is OK with me! I heard that my prof doesn’t rely to heavily on the book anyway, so $20 is a very good deal! 
Today I was told that a student came into our walk-in office and told the employees at the front desk that I was “the nicest phone center person” she’d ever spoken to! Now that’s uplifting.
Just got mine yesterday! I wasn’t quick enough the first time around. I have a few Violet Dawn Eye Color Sticks and Tawny Twist Matte Lip Pencils because these are the only shades left. I like the eye color, but the Tawny Twist is too orangy for my complexion. I put Sugarberry gloss over it. I would have liked to be able to try the Jade one. I can’t remember the name for sure, but the green one.
Well, I was so determined to hand out 5 business cards and get new leads yesterday and I totally wussed out! Pathetic! I need to stop the madness in my mind that makes me afraid to talk to people about my business. Not sure how to fight it, but I’ll figure it out.
Now, for today! I sold a foundation so far and I have a new customer on my mailing list so that is good. I have a plethera of calls to make after work tonight. 
I can do it!!!
